FYI. Oh well... I wanted a good reason to push for dropping campus support for HP-UX anyway. This is a pretty damn good one in my book.

There were several discussions with the lab owners of HP-UX as well as very high level management. All of this came out of discussions with Transarc who had also requested source to finish their port to 11i. It was determined that there is IP in the reqested files and that the code would not be turned over to Transarc or the Open source community. So the bottom line is that there will not be a release of the code to Open Source. Sorry for the bad news, but management believes it is not in HP's best interest to do so.
