hey Derrick, sorry I'm not sure how to do a backtrace. But I think I
found this issue..... in my CellServDB I had an entry for my office's
afs cell which is not available externally. As soon as I vpn'd into
work everything came back and works great.

are the release notes (in the installer process) still valid for
this rc? i.e.

*not* production ready. Use of this release with afs home
directories or Library directories is not recommended. (keychain
corruption may occur. keychain-using apps may hang). afssettings
does not work either. unmount afs manually before rebooting/
shutting down, or the shutdown will not complete."
Well, see, this is why we're asking people to test.
I've install it and this is what i see at startup.
afssettings: sysctl 3.20.1.0.1 => 0: Operation not supported on
socket
That's a bug but nonfatal.
finder is spinning.
Ok. How about getting a backtrace?
