And I bet if you do the udebug command on the other server it also says it's not sync site. > Lowest host 10.1.202.20 was set 3 secs ago > Sync host 0.0.0.0 was set 1110374562 secs ago > Sync site's db version is 1110275489.2 > 0 locked pages, 0 of them for write Sync host 0.0.0.0? Ohh, that's special. I've never seen that before. > I've noticed, i don't have a /usr/afs/local/sysid file on the second server. > How is this possible??? I think your servers are confused about the network they're on. I didn't realize until this that you're running them on a 10. net. I'm not sure, but I seem to recall there's some special voodoo you have to do to make an AFS cell work on a 10. net. I'm sure one of the others will now pop up and correct me. > Here is also the FileLog: > > ed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 File server starting > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 afs_krb_get_lrealm failed, using khlimtest. > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 /usr/afs/local/sysid: doesn't exist > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 Creating new SysID file > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 VL_RegisterAddrs rpc failed; will retry periodically > ($ > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 Set thread id 14 for FSYNC_sync > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 Partition /vicepc: attached 0 volumes; 0 volumes not > a$ > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 Partition /vicepd: attached 0 volumes; 0 volumes not > a$ > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 Set thread id 15 for 'FiveMinuteCheckLWP' > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 Set thread id 16 for 'HostCheckLWP' > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 Getting FileServer name... > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 FileServer host name is 'pcg10207' > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 Getting FileServer address... > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 FileServer pcg10207 has address 10.1.202.139 > (0x8bca01$ > Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 File Server started Wed Mar 9 14:09:27 2005 > Wed Mar 9 14:14:27 2005 VL_RegisterAddrs rpc failed; will retry periodically > (code=5376, err=0) > Wed Mar 9 14:19:27 2005 VL_RegisterAddrs rpc failed; will retry periodically > (code=5376, err=0) > Wed Mar 9 14:24:27 2005 VL_RegisterAddrs rpc failed; will retry periodically > (code=5376, err=0) > > > > > >Do you have both servers in the CellServDB file on both machines? > > > >On a client, what's the result of "udebug -servername -p 7003" for > >both servers?
