The exact kernel problems with FC5's distributed kernel have been
discused here (and on -devel) for a while. Please go read the archives.
I'm a little confused here, and I have read all of the recent traffic on
this list. As far as I can tell, even the kernel currently in rawhide
still has write protection enabled on the syscall table. Are Fedora
talking about shipping a kernel with this protection disabled?
