AFS Directory search was really really bad. I've improved things for
files that are known to exist but if you are searching a large number
of directories containing hundreds or thousands of files for an entry
that does not exist things are still pretty bad.

I've written before about the desire to have the AFS client convert
the AFS directory structures into B+ trees. I want to do this
specifically so that these types of searches will have performance
on par with a local NTFS tree search.
