You need to generate a new Windows SID or you are going to have problems
with Windows.  This has nothing to do with the AFS issue.

For AFS, if the Windows SID changes, it will generate a new UUID.
A new UUID is also generated if you delete the AFSCache file or execute
"fs uuid -generate".
