I find this thread funny because the Windows client has never created
fake mount point entries for all of the entries in the CellServDB file.
Instead, it only created a fake mount point entry for the "default"
cell name.

Less than a month ago there was a discussion on this list where the
author was trying to figure out why the Windows client didn't work.
His expectation was that all of the entries in the CellServDB file
should be visible to the user. This isn't the first time someone has
had this reaction. As a result I finally bit the bullet and wrote
the code necessary to permit a mount point entry to be created for
each CellServDB cell entry. This code will be in 1.5.75 and can be
enabled for sites that want it.

The reality is that there is no answer to this question that will
satisfy everyone. The behavior on Unix is what was desired by the
person that wrote the code. The nice thing about the Unix behavior
is that while the grand.central.org CellServDB is provided with the
client, the user or a site administrator can always choose to distribute
their own version in its place and all of the cells listed
in that custom CellServDB will be immediately visible to the end user.
