Hi,

if i call the command on server a (a which isnt the fileserver with the
volumes) as root:

vos syncvldb server b (b which is the filesserver with volumes)

i get the following messages. There are a lot of more volumes listed but
the list was too long so i cut the message text:

Could not create a VLDB entry for the volume 536875231
VLDB: no permission access for call
Could not create a VLDB entry for the volume 536875231
VLDB: no permission access for call
Could not create a VLDB entry for the volume 536875228
VLDB: no permission access for call
Could not create a VLDB entry for the volume 536875228
VLDB: no permission access for call
Could not process entries on server server b partition /vicepa
Could not get the highest allocated volume id from the VLDB
VLDB: no permission access for call
Error in vos syncvldb command.
VLDB: no permission access for call

next time i run again:
=============

vos syncvldb server b

i get the short message only:

Could not get the highest allocated volume id from the VLDB
VLDB: no permission access for call
Error in vos syncvldb command.
VLDB: no permission access for call

next time i run again:
=============

vos syncvldb server b

i get the message:

VLDB synchronized with state of server i44sun1

next time i run again:
=============

vos syncvldb server b

i get the message:

Could not get the highest allocated volume id from the VLDB
VLDB: no permission access for call
Error in vos syncvldb command.
VLDB: no permission access for call

Now iam a bit confusing. The manpage of vos syncvldb says that i have to
execute syncvldb repeatedly. I dont understand the repeated existence of
the error messages. When / How could i be sure that i have a clean vldb ?

cheers,
Andy
