Hi Gert, Could I suggest two changes to obspectrophore's operation?
The first is for it to write the help text to stdout, not stderr. This is the standard way of doing this, to make it easy to pipe through "less", for example. Also, by default, it prints out a large amount of help text, which means that the options scroll straight off the screen. The usual thing is to only print out the additional text if the user requests it, via "-h". Most of the time the user already knows what the software does, and just wants to see the options.
