Could we rehearse the arguments why we need to move to GitHub? I'm not well-informed, but Sourceforge makes a feature of software distribution (which, with 3000 downloads per month, we need); Github seems promote only its value to developers. SourceForge offers git as well as SVN, etc., but although it offers support for "all 1.6.x features of git" I don't know whether its implementation is weaker than that of Github. Would it be really be feasible for some developers to access the source code by SVN and some by git?
