Hi all,
I made a javascript web interface to open babel's format conversion
functionality - app <http://www.patrick-fuller.com/imolecule.html>, source
code <https://github.com/patrickfuller/imolecule>, and post on my
underutilized
blog<http://www.patrick-fuller.com/modernizing-the-chemical-viewer/>

and I thought you guys might be interested in it. You drag and drop files
of any format in (theoretically), and then save in any output format
supported by open babel (also theoretically). If you like any part of the
approach, I would be honored to fold some of the code into open babel
itself, although I admittedly don't know where it would go / if it's
outside the project scope.
As an aside, one thing I threw into the app is a json interconverter. Which
leads me to a question: does open babel natively support json and did I
create unnecessary work for myself? If not... can open babel support json?
Anyway, I hope you find the app useful and I'm open to questions / comments
/ concerns!
Cheers,
Pat
