Well, be careful with that option--if the original tag was encrypted chances are it has a commercial, restrictive license that is violated if you decrypt the tag. Always best to keep everything above board, and it sounds like this will be a simple problem to solve. Plus if we can find an open solution that will address the issue, all the better.
