My apologies Alan! I did not mean to offend anyone about this nor was I
trying to flare up the OS religion war!

I was commenting on how most of the threads concerning IIS have been
written with a Linux point of view and can be confusing to someone who
has never used Linux before and is moving into open source for the first
time.

My goal was to explain to a new user how to think about the differences
between ColdFusion / BlueDragon compared to OpenBD. In rereading my post
perhaps I should have written that paragraph a bit clearer so not to
offend the Jedi Council because my point wasn't a jab at Linux users it
was to help translate for a Windows user and help skip the confusion I
went through.

Please remember "To every rule there are exceptions and exemptions!".

Well, my experience with Windows is quite lengthy. I even used to write
apps for it.
And it's that experience which compels me to use another OS as my server

platform.
No biggie, even off-topic perhaps. I could be a small exception to your
generalization.
