I currently have a client close to their first production OBD
Application. They have chosen to hang it off port 8080 with their
apache implementation on port 80.
They have two domain names. The original serves a preexisting app and
the second serves the OBD app. They would like to rewrite the 8080
as some of their corporate customers block 8080 in their web security
implementations.
Going to another server is possible.. However, configuration of a
rewrite is more desirable.
Accessing (domain) www.seconddomain.com:8080 They would like it to be
rewritten aswww.seconddomain.com, whilst, keeping the www.preexistingapp.com
(domain) alone.
I have done this with tomcat/Apache but not with OBD+Jetty.
Is there a quick recipe? I have scoured the internet for a good hour
but Ive not run across anything yet.
I have mod_rewrite loaded and it iscurrently functioning in my test
bed.. Tried the below config but no luck.
<VirtualHost *:80>
DocumentRoot /htdocs/secondimpl
ServerName secondimpl.com^M
ProxyPass / http://www.secondimpl.com:8080/
ProxyPassreverse / http://www.secondimpl.com:8080/
HostnameLookups Off
ErrorLog log/apache/secondimpl-error.log^M
CustomLog log/apache/secondimpl-access.log combined^M
</VirtualHost>
