I know my mysql is working, as I use it with CF and can access it via terminal as well. Problem is, When I set up the datasource in the openbd admin, i get the following error:
CF and OpenBD will connect to MySQL in exactly the same way. Are you connecting to MySQL from CF on the same phsyical box? Can you telnet to port 3306?
Also, how did you install MySQL on your Mac (if that's where it is)? A few months ago someone ran into MAJOR problems because they used some pre-packaged MySQL distribution that had TCP/IP connectivity turned off by default.
I'd try telneting to port 3306 and see what happens.
Not sure what that means, but it seems some sort of security issue. I have tomcat in /Library/Tomcat/webapps/openbd/...
Well, "connection refused" can mean any number of things so I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it's a security issue quite yet. Connection refused can mean that port 3306 isn't open, which could be firewall, etc. etc.
My mysql is local, so it should be localhost:3306. Not sure what else to do. Help guys
Confirming the port is open will be the first step in getting this figured out, so let us know what you find out.
