I'm not worried about the business side of things here. URL redirection is a
common service that's been around for ten years from hundreds of different
sites.

I've already had "sharks" try and buy this project out. =) Mostly because of
the domain names.

I'm just asking, from a technical standpoint, using the OPENBD engine, is my
approach to making this function work reasonable?

Is there anything I'm missing with the way OPENBD works that would cause
scalability problems? Like, should I be using the error handler as the catch
for redirects, or should I try something else like mod_rewrite.... ??
