Steve worked with me off list and we resolved the issue. He was using
the Windows PowerShell which was causing some grief.
However, he kindly gave me a .bat file that i have subsequently added to
the distribution (available in tomorrow's weekly build) for people
having similar woes with the .exe startup launcher.
The only outstanding script we need to pull together is for the Mac
