Fascinating. The OpenBD install should be completely independent from anything Windows update might touch...

Just a guess, but it's likely that this didn't have anything to do with the windows update. More then likely the windows update required a restart which revealed a problem in a config file which had been there for a while, but was only revealed with the restart.

Let us know what you find with regards to the config file. You sound like you've already got your ducks in a row with your debugging process. I'm sure you'll find the cause of the problem even without our input. ;)
