Flex is long from dead and does not just allow for desktop apps
(actually that's what AIR is for....not Flex).

Flex is for web apps and those of course are not just for
mobile.....good old PC based stuff

AIR is for desktop apps and mobile apps (Blackberry, iOS and Android)

Remember folks....the entire planet has not dropped all other computing
devices but tablets....in fact MOST have not

....just my 2 cents and reality check
