We already use git internally (we have a private github repo also) so we are ok with the git part... But yeah, I don't think you can do a "just upload a war file" because from what I can see they don't actually have Jetty setup as a conventional J2EE server by default... That is where I'm hitting my knowledge wall - I've never dealt with low level Jetty configuration stuff before.
