It works in coldfusion 8, and I get some kind of server response in all cases. When the call is placed, the CFC is getting the message because the session variables are terminated, so openBD is resonsive and there is no error that occurs that I can see, and furthermore if: If I set the returntype to "any" and <cfreturn "0"> I get 0 back. That is the ONLY way I can get OpenBD to give me a 0.
