I use CouchDB with OpenBD on a daily basis, which is pure JSON over HTTP, and I do not have to do what you're outlining here. I haven't used elasticsearch yet (just about to get into it for a project) but this would definitely be different behavior than what I see with CouchDB. Are there any settings on elasticsearch that let you return things in different ways? If you use a method other than delete with elasticsearch does it behave the same way? -- Matthew Woodward [email protected] http://blog.mattwoodward.com identi.ca / Twitter: @mpwoodward Please do not send me proprietary file formats such as Word, PowerPoint, etc. as attachments. http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/no-word-attachments.html -- online documentation: http://openbd.org/manual/ google+ hints/tips: https://plus.google.com/115990347459711259462 http://groups.google.com/group/openbd?hl=en
