FYI, the local time stamp here says that I pulled this war down on
3-31-12 12:23 AM PST.
Perhaps I'll just try fixing it locally first (move the dirs, change
the xml); sounds like a fun project (which is a disturbing thought,
personally. I mean, it's a beautiful Sunday outside. Earth Day no
less... What kind of sicko am I - that finds this stuff fun?)

If you have the time and inclination I'd say grab
another WAR and deploy a fresh one (in a different
context) and see if you can reproduce the behavior. If no,
probably a fluke. If yes, Andy or Alan will have to take a
look.
