John The deployment is very straight forward when deploying the WAR file into Glassfish. GF runs port 80 bypassing any HTTP middle service for the time being. If we find that we need load balancing we'll tackle it there.
I also use the connection pool with the GF container now with using the name of the JDBC def given in the GF admin interface. Let me know if you run into any hicups. We host on a Windows 2008 server.
