Without knowing more about what all you've been doing it's hard to say. I
don't generally see things cached in a way that would cause this to happen.

The devil is in the details of "some things."

For instance this didn't work and would throw a 'not found' error.

If that didn't work and now does, and certainly if ../../admin... worked,
then you had things configured in such a way that /admin wasn't going where
it was supposed to (or where you thought it was).
