Hi all,

I have a single instance install with apache/tomcat serving multiple
virtual hosts.

Everything is working wonderfully and I am very very happy to have
moved from ACF to OBD.

I am noticing something that is oddly different from ACF behavior and
wanted to see if it is something that should be considered "normal" or
something I should be looking into more deeply.

When I add a new website/app and make changes to the apache conf
and then to the tomcat server.xml, and then restart http server and
the openbd server ... I'm seeing an extensive delay.

I restart the http, takes a few seconds.

Restarting the openBD server though takes a few moments (guess would
be 20-25 seconds) for it to cycle and get the message that it will be
a short time before it begins to process cfm pages. It's that "short wait"
that I'm worried about.

>From command line/top java is running and everything look happy.
But hitting a website will simply hang for what seems like a very long time.

This time has never been less than 5 full minutes ... just a few moments ago
it took 7.5 minutes for sites to begin to be served. This is a large time
difference in comparison to restarting ACF ... and it seems to be growing
as I add sites.

After this delay, sites are served properly and quickly (very responsive) with
no errors. Is this a normal time delay? Should be looking into something to
bring that time down? If so, any ideas?

Any thoughts or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alan Cole
