You'd need to create two different workers (one for openbd and one for railo) and then you'd need to create mappings for them in each virtualhost.

The default mod_jk config includes a param... something similar to "vhostcopy all"... something like that... which copies the mod_jk config to all virtualhosts. That would need to go away and you'd need to set up your mod_jk configs for each virtualhost.

A "worker" in the workers.properties file is just another name for a specific tomcat instance, so I'd create one called railo and another called openbd, then map to it in the apache config depending on which site was going to use which engine.

I would not suggest running the Railo WAR inside an OpenBD common class

safely side by side in their own Tomcat instances.

That is what I had in mind.

If you're running both through a web server, the handler mappings will
need to be very specific (which would be tricky), but it's not
    impossible. ;)

This is in the virtual-hosts.conf (Apache) or server.xml (Tomcat)? Or
will this involve some worker.properties trickery.
