Apologies for announcing, but I wanted to let people know that I have been building a new Eclipse plugin for MongoDB access and it is ready for people to start using.

You can install it to Eclipse (or download the pre-configured one) from:

https://github.com/aw20/MongoWorkBench <https://github.com/aw20/MongoWorkBench>

This plugin was inspired by the lack of good desktop tools for MongoDB. Tools such as MySQL/SQLServer Workbench are very popular with their scratch-pad feel of queries that you can simply select and then hit SHIFT-ENTER to execute makes developing queries extremely fast. I was jealous of that and wanted it for Mongo. There is a lot more here, including wizards to help the new Mongo users get to grips with some of the power of Mongo.

Enjoy

Thanks

alan
