So you're not really updating, that's a fresh install... I tried it just now and it worked fine.
You've got to troubleshoot it, few things to try below: 1. Use netstat to check if java is running and listening on port 8080: # netstat -ntlp | grep java > tcp 0 0 :::8080 :::* > LISTEN 16711/java 2. Check if the java process running is the one you're expecting: # ps axo pid,etime,cmd | grep java > 16711 07:36 /opt/openbdjam/jdk/bin/java > -Djetty.home=/opt/openbdjam/jetty -Djava.io.tmpdir=/tmp -jar > /opt/openbdjam/jetty/start.jar --pre=etc/jetty-logging.xml 3. The logs you're looking for are under: # ls /opt/openbdjam/jetty/logs/ > 2015_06_19.stderrout.log 2015-06-19 16:48 GMT+01:00 BigPecan <[email protected]>: > used the commands on the website.. > > wget http://openbd.org//download/3.1/OpenBDJAM.sh > > bash OpenBDJAM.sh > > On Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10:26:55 AM UTC-5, Tiago Lopo wrote: >> >> Well if you're using a very old version of jam you will be running on JDK >> 1.6 , new jars are compiled with JDK 1.8 so it won't work, but It should >> not prevent Jetty of starting though. >> >> How did you update it? >> >> 2015-06-19 16:07 GMT+01:00 BigPecan <[email protected]>: >> >>> New error log... >>> >>> [Fri Jun 19 09:28:18 2015] [warn] Init: Session Cache is not configured >>> [hint: SSLSessionCache] >>> [Fri Jun 19 09:28:18 2015] [notice] Digest: generating secret for digest >>> authentication ... >>> [Fri Jun 19 09:28:18 2015] [notice] Digest: done >>> [Fri Jun 19 09:28:19 2015] [notice] Apache/2.2.14 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.14 >>> OpenSSL/0.9.8l mod_apreq2-20090110/2.7.1 configured -- resuming normal >>> operations >>> [Fri Jun 19 09:28:47 2015] [error] (111)Connection refused: proxy: HTTP: >>> attempt to connect to 127.0.0.1:8080 (127.0.0.1) failed >>> [Fri Jun 19 09:28:47 2015] [error] ap_proxy_connect_backend disabling >>> worker for (127.0.0.1) >>> [Fri Jun 19 10:05:41 2015] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down >>> >>> On Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10:03:49 AM UTC-5, BigPecan wrote: >>>> >>>> Sorry, one of those days. >>>> >>>> Not clean install Upgrade from REALLY old version >>>> >>>> IiFri Jun 19 09:28:18 2015] [warn] Init: Session Cache is not >>>> configured [hint: SSLSessionCache] >>>> [Fri Jun 19 09:28:18 2015] [notice] Digest: generating secret for >>>> digest authentication ... >>>> [Fri Jun 19 09:28:18 2015] [notice] Digest: done >>>> [Fri Jun 19 09:28:19 2015] [notice] Apache/2.2.14 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.14 >>>> OpenSSL/0.9.8l mod_apreq2-20090110/2.7.1 configured -- resuming normal >>>> operations >>>> [Fri Jun 19 09:28:47 2015] [error] (111)Connection refused: proxy: >>>> HTTP: attempt to connect to 127.0.0.1:8080 (127.0.0.1) failed >>>> [Fri Jun 19 09:28:47 2015] [error] ap_proxy_connect_backend disabling >>>> worker for (127.0.0.1) >>>> >>>> previous one is not running >>>> >>>> >>>> On Friday, June 19, 2015 at 9:48:31 AM UTC-5, Alan Williamson wrote: >>>>> >>>>> you haven't given much in the way of trying to help you. >>>>> >>>>> more information please ... >>>>> >>>>> - clean install? >>>>> - error logs? >>>>> - is the previous one already running? >>>>> >>>>> more details please! :) >>>>> >>>>> On 19/06/2015 10:23, BigPecan wrote: >>>>> > OK that is a little misleading.
