I fully agree this would be a significant improvement. From Juanpa's proposal 
my understanding is that the transitions Scheduled>Ready for Testing, Ready for 
testing>Ready for Review are automatic. 

What about the Resolved>Closed? For continuous CI-releases like 2.40 we can do 
that automatically, but is there an automated path for manual releases as well?

As we're talking about issue status again: @Rafa, you considered the 
defect-backport relationship again as part of your support information project. 
Do we also need to propose something to wrap this into the flow?
