Ok, please if you send in the patches I will try to test against the different
part of the project. If also Michael does not have any problems about its
modules (RBAC and DBI) we will update each of the modules.

If I am not wrong the method is called within the X509 module, but nowhere
else as the layered structure (:-D) masks any certificate related direct
calls... at least within the OpenCA project (I don't know about any external
usage). We could add a warn message in the distro about backward compatibility
issues (versions + method incompatibility description).
