okay, I'll do some more checks about these patches on my own but at the moment
everything seems to work fine. Then I'll send the patches to X509.pm and
OpenSSL.pm to you directly.

well, I thought so but I'm not so familiar with the OpenCA project at all. I
just know some of the perl modules (BTW, very selfish, I just know the parts I
need for my own :) ).

Maybe it's time to put the actual version on CPAN and maybe announce it on
freshmeat. There are more features (PKCS12) and less bugs - so I think it's time
to release it (but as always, it's your choice). After putting it to
CPAN we could put the new patch into CVS and check it out.
