Hi,
The problem you are having seems related to the lack of the libcrypto.a
static library. This is due, probably, to the fact that many current
disto do no include it (RH, SuSe, etc... ).
To avoid this behaviour, please, get the openssl package in source format
and install it (it is very simple - './config && make && make install').
After this you'll have the needed libcrypto.a used for linking the object
files.
