Hello -
I hope that someone will be able to assist me to eliminate some problems
that I am having with my OpenCA installation.
I have reviewed the archive information, and haven't found the answers to my
problems.
1. I have installed OpenCA as a "make all" for testing purposes despite the
warnings to the contrary. This is only for my testing purposes, and I will
have an offline CA soon.
2. Installed OpenCA from tarball 0.8.1, OpenSSL SNAP-20011212
3. Linux 7.2
If you need more config information, please let me know.
Current problems.
1. CA Management
a. initialization
1. Rebuild CA Chain command causes error:
Error 690
Configuration Error. Missing Configuration Keyword : ServerDir.
2. RAServer
a. RAServer Init
1. Rebuild CA Chain command causes error:
Error 512
General Error. Error while rebuilding the CA chain in
/usr/local/RAServer/chain!
rebuildChain
make: *** get{e}[gu]id: Operation not permitted. Stop.
b. Certificate Requests command causes:
Error 690
Configuration Error. Missing Configuration Keyword : pendingbasesheet.
c. The Other Requests (Revoke, Approved, Deleted, Archived) all error with
error code 690 and respective Configuration Errors. I will provide these
specific errors if this is useful.
d. All of the "Certs" commands work ok. Although they report empty pages.
CRL commands work ok too.
3. Public
a. Get CA Certificate works ok.
b. CRLs are 404 (presumably because I have not yet made any)
c. Request a Certificate -- mixed results.
1. SPKAC -works ok from Netscape 4.7, but I have the problem with 6.2 &
win2k that was reported in the archives.
2. Server Cert seems to work.
3. IE Request produces "LDAP Initialization Page" with blank fields.
Clicking on Continue produces a javascript error on page.
I know that this is a lot of data to sift through, but I thought it would be
best if I presented all of the problems, as the group of symptoms might help
to locate the source of the problem.
Thank you for any assistance / insight you might be able to provide.
Chris
