Betreff: [Openca-Users] Initialization problem

Hello,
with my first steps using openca on my linux 2.4.19.(SuSE 8.1) there are
some problems:

I have installed the neccessary openssl version and openca 0.9.1,
followed the instructions of the openca guide:
2.2.1
1.DB setup ok
2. Keypair setup OK
3. Request setup OK
4. Certificate setup OK
5. Final Setup OK

2.2.2 Create the initial Administrator:
1. Create a new request fill out the form -> continue ->input is ok
->continue

General Error. Cannot create request!
(OpenCA::REQ->new: Cannot create new request. Backend fails with
errorcode 0 )

in apache's logfile I see:

15544:error:0D07A097:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_mbstring_copy:string
too long:a_mbstr.c:154:maxsize=2
Generating RSA private key, 512 bit long modulus
.....++++++++++++
....++++++++++++
e is 65537 (0x10001)
unable to write 'random state'
problems making Certificate Request
15595:error:0D07A097:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_mbstring_copy:string
too long:a_mbstr.c:154:maxsize=2

Is this a known issue?

Thanks for an answer.
Norbert
