What I did so far:
rm -r /usr/loca/OpenCA
make install again. Finally I started the whole procedure again with different DNs. I did this about three times with always the sam result.
Therefore I suppose it is not the DN but something with openssl.
If you are intereseted I can supply everything under /usr/local/OpenCA as it is just a testinstallation- if it helps.

The country-code is definitely 2 characters long: DE
Could you send us a sample of a DN which fails, so that we can verify the problem?
