Hi openca-users!

I recently installed openca on a freebsd system - I thought there
shouldn't be any big differences
to my well-working linux installations - maybe only in theory - I moved
my config files and keys from
a linux machine to the freebsd machine and was not able to sign any
request or crl. Trying to
initialize the ca again stopped at the point where I need to sign the
initial operator cert, though
self-signing my new key worked well - the error file of apache shows of
the same error in all
cases:

Generating RSA private key, 2048 bit long modulus
.........................+++
........................................................................
.......
e is 65537 (0x10001)
Generating RSA private key, 2048 bit long modulus
.....+++
....+++
e is 65537 (0x10001)
unable to write 'random state'
Using configuration from
/var/ca/openca/etc/openssl/openssl/CA_Operator.conf
entry 1: invalid expiry date
unable to write 'random state'

I "tuned" default days down to one day in CA_Operator.conf but that
didn't work - there are no
debug flags in issueCert cmd or crypto-utils lib... i'm stuck :) someone
out there who can
keep me from itching some perl lines...
