Yes, I had this problem too.

It certainly looks like this is the behaviour.

Hmm, in my testing I did not get any of these problems, in fact the "approval" 
was one of the easier steps for me (only taking 69 minutes). Are you sure 
that you were not running multiple processes at the time ? This may explain 
the MySQL deadlocks. I noticed (by looking at the top processes (via "top") 
that the "ca" process was still working even though it seemed to have failed. 
Could it be that it was still trying to process the records and you started a 
second process also looking at the same records ?

I bet there is a way by changing states ont he data base, but I would be too 
scared to try that sort of thing !!!!

I am afraid I can not give any more insight, perhaps Michael can explain what 
the code is doing at this point.

Sorry that this is not much help, but it may be worth looking at the top 
processes to see what is going on in that area.
