Hi Barbara,

to set the document root for apache, try the option 
--with-httpd-fs-prefix=${PREFIX}/apache

This way you'll find the doc root for apache installed in
/srv/ca/apache/htdocs and the cgi-bin in /srv/ca/apache/cgi-bin
