Michael,

I think the problem is that in your Guide (page 16) you wrote --with-hierarchy-level=ra at the installation of the CA. And at installation of the RA (page 17), you wrote --with-hierarchy-level=ca. You changed the parameters and it causes confusion for people who are starting with OpenCA! You should correct it as soon as possible!!!

Hi,

I use openCA 0.9.1.4. Configuration options were :

./configure --with-openca-user=openca --with-openca-group=openca \
--with-web-host=$WEBHOST --with-httpd-user=openca \
--with-httpd-group=openca --prefix=/usr/local/$OPENCA_INSTDIR \
--with-hierarchy-level=ca --with-dist-user=Achatpublic.com \
--with-dist-group=Achatpublic.com
--with-ca-organization=Achatpublic.com \
--with-ca-locality=Paris --with-ca-country=FR

The hierarchy level on a RA is ra.

And when I run "make install-ra" I don't have
"OpenCA/etc/servers/ca_node.conf", the node management isn't
installed...  so I will be unable to export from RA to CA... :(

You need a ra_node.conf. install-ra installs only one RA interface. install-node installs one node interface.

However, when I run "make install-ext" I have the node management...

install-ext installs all online components including node, RA, ldap and public. install-ra only installs a single component like install-node too.
