This is not the original error, because I have take initiative to earn more information. As far as i can remember, I modified the alert() in the JavaScript to additionally output the return value of the SignString-Function call and also the value of the exception caught in the try{}-catch{}-block. I can't look up, what I did exactly, now - but on request I will do it on Tuesday.


Just for those, who wondered why we got such a meaningful error-message. The normal message is something like "User aborted or no valid certificate found". Not really useful, though...
