Hi, Bone,

During preparation of the general patch "utf8 patch (2nd wave)" I have encountered several severe bugs in the program text which I have to patch. More precisely, first installation of the system (meant to be run in the default LATIN1 mode) non-correctly installs languages related files. It seems that these bugs can not be fixed without at least some rethinking of overall installation structure. I have to be very economical when proposing changes to the sources. Otherwise Michael will call me names and refuse these changes..
Hence some more time is needed.
demo2.openca.info installation runs in the state UTF8, which is not affected by the mentioned bugs. Still, I can not offer to a public a patch which lacks backward compatibility in the sense that default system state is not operational, despite the fact that those bugs are not mine, and were introduced into the program text long ago.

All the best, Sergei

Hi all,
I cannot always issue certificates which DN has "special characters like é or è" (french characters).
My previous message is "Help ! Issue Cert return error 6761"
Sergei Vyshenski said that this problem is resolved for the demo2.openca.info site. And,
effectively, I succeeded to generate a certificate which CN is "Thomas Vélas" !!

He said that this "General patch will be submitted to the bug track in a couple of days..."
But, at this time, this patch is always not available for users !! It's very
important for us that openca pki uses this characters, because some users must
have certificates with special CN.

Is it possible to have this patch just for testing ????

Thanks

Bone
