Well, some people left the core development and the feature they introduced
are still undocumented. Anyway we are moving forward for the next release
of OpenCA. The new package will be newly rewritten and basically will
address the problems we have now with the current software:
* Difficulty of installation
* Lack of documentation of the supported features
* Difficulty of management in specific environments (e.g. Universities or
   big organizations need to cut down management costs, and this is possible
   by adopting a new design of the core of the project)

Regrettably it is difficult to find good developers willing to provide
support to the project at the moment, so I am trying to write proposals to
get direct support for a Next Generation OpenCA (OpenCA-NG)... and finally
going for the 1.0 release... You can take a look at the presentation at
this year's FOSDEM (http://www.openca.org/) and at a short description of
the new upcoming evolution of OpenCA (http://www.openca.org/openca-ng/).
