Hi,

My impression about OCF was that as a smart card application provider I
could create applications (not on the card but on my PC or palm top or
whatever) without really bothering about the card or os or terminal etc etc
(of course i will need OCF compliant drivers for the terminals from
vendors).

But when I read the OCF programmers manual there is a mention of "OCF
compliant CARDS".
(last paragraph of section 1.0 of OCF 1.0 programmer's guide)
What does this restriction mean? does it mean that I should look for cards
that support OCF?
is it not sufficient if the terminal vendor provides me with a OCF compliant
driver?
if the card(and terminal internally) has to support OCF compliant mechanisms
then are we not limiting ourselves and putting restrictions on cards and
terminals?

Secondly there is a mention of JavaCard. Can i not use JavaCard compliant
cards with OCF?

Third, what is the realtionship with OCF and JavaCard Forum(JCF)?

iam pretty much confused. can someone help me?

Thanks
Prakash
