If I am not mistaken NT allows long names, even at the command prompt.
The only problem comes when the name contains spaces on it. In those cases
it is better to enclose the whole path in quotes:
CD "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office"
CD seems to understand path names even without quotes, but programs such as
the java interpreter need the quotes.
Moreover, NT filesystem is case insensitive, but the Java is not, so be
careful with that too.
