Yes Tom your right thanks for pointing that out. Everyone out there who cares raise 
his or her hand! It was the setenv.bat demo that I tweaked and I was having problems 
w/ command.com (16 bit) seeing directories larger that 6 chars. Next time I will be 
more careful about what I say and how I say it. I just hope I get such a good amount 
of responses regarding my actual question next time.

opencard.properties doesn't have file names in it as far as I am aware.
And NT does support file names from the command line with more than 6
characters.
