Hello,
I'm trying to use a GemPlus GPK 8000 for (non-repudiation) signing of data,
but am havng serious trouble talking to the card using the version 0.1
drivers.
With the GPK 4000 I get a set of card services, but these don't include the
signature services. From reading the soruce code, it seems that they aren't
implemented for the 4000 yet. However, the 8000 signature services are
mentioned in the code and should be returned if the card setup code works,
which it doesn't. At least not for me. (I'm hoping the card is defective...)
Is this code supposed to be working at all? Is there any hope just removing
all detection ocde and have the card service factory assume it is talking to
a GPK-8000 card? This would be fine for development purposes and then we
could wait for better working drivers.
And, assuming I get the card setup correctly and the services returned, do
any of them actually work? Is this hopeless for now and should I be doing
something else?
If it *is* in fact hopeless, is there any card which is available now, has
working opencard drivers with signature services?
That'll be all for today, thank you :)
