Alain :  To clarify what I meant ... End-User-Program is a program with
a specific purpose in mind. A word-processor, for example, processes
words. You don't create software with a word-processor.

Alain :  OpenCard, like HyperCard, is more akin to an AUTHORING system
than an end-user application. These tools allow to create just about
anything else. It's not up to us what they will do with OC. It's up to
the users of OpenCard to decide what they will do with OC. So OC will
indeed be an "authoring tool for the masses", particularly if we don't
make it as complicated as MPW.

Alain :  This discussion reminds me a lot of the difficulties in
defining exactly what HyperCard was. It's natural that we inherit this
problem.
