Alain : Yes.
DeRobertis : Nope. It's on my hard disk.
Alain : Excellent! Our DISTRIBUTED infrastructure is resilient to
catastrophic events like theft. The OpenCard web site, the mail
archives ... Everything is recoverable after all. In the end, the only
consequence of the theft of my G3 on our collaborations will be the
extra time and energy that it required to bounce back.
Alain : I have learned my lesson eg. do NOT keep your backups in the
same location as your servers. I suspect that thieves increasingly
realize that the software is at least as valuable as the computers.
