Hi,
we used to have a web site, but when Alain went for a donut and left it
unobserved (just kidding!) it was stolen along with the backups. We're only
now rebuilding that. A quick summary would be:
- Create a free Open Source HyperCard clone (code-named OpenCard)
which will be 100% HyperCard compatible with its language OpenTalk
- Remove limits like max. 32k in text fields/buttons, single-window
interface and B/W graphics
- Increase speed, decrease size
- Add MacOS-native look and feel
- Better integration of web-savvyness (might even result in a
Browser plug-in)
- Portable code that allows creating Windows and Linux/Unix
versions of OC
... anything I forgot?

C++ is a superset of C, which means we can integrate the two without too
much of a problem. But actually, most modern programming environments (MPW,
CodeWarrior) allow combining all of their programming languages in one
application, so we could theoretically write a program in all of C/C++,
Pascal, Object Pascal, Objective C, Java, ...
But I hope we won't do that, as this would increase problems for porting
(it's rather hard to find Pascal compilers for Unix, I've been told), as
many platforms have their preferred language, and we'd need a compiler that
supports all of the used languages on *every* platform.

No problem, fire at will :-)
Cheers,
